Hydro Ottawa: Keeping Ottawa Connected (1st Session)
On February 21, Councillor Devine will host Hydro Ottawa for their Keeping Ottawa Connected presentation, which is a targeted series of outreach initiatives delivered to communities across Ottawa that have seen their power supply adversely impacted by severe weather events over the past few years. The event will run from 7:00pm - 8:30pm, and will take place at the Fisher Heights Community Centre, located at 31 Sutton Place.
There will be two Keeping Ottawa Connected presentations in Ward 9. This first event on February 21 is focused specifically on Parkwood Hills, Skyline and Fisher Heights with the area to be covered by this initial event represented in the map below. Residents from outside these areas may attend, but as space is limited we prefer those attendees be from these affected areas.
Representatives from Hydro Ottawa will provide updates on how they are building resiliency, what is happening in the Parkwood Hills, Fisher Heights and Skyline neighbourhoods, and some of the new ways they're communicating during power outages. There will be an opportunity to ask questions about the topics they're covering.
