As the Executive Assistant for Ward 9, Tim is primarily responsible for agenda and issues management, strategic communications, policy and legislative matters, and handles resident inquiries related to planning files, revenue matters, and by-law issues. Tim also works closely with the Councillor on Ward 9 planning and development files and supports the Councillor at Council meetings. Dr. Tim Abray recently completed his PhD in Canadian Politics and Political Theory at Queen's University. Tim is an award-winning communications consultant who has worked in and around politics and public policy for more than 25-years, supporting senior decision-makers in both the public and private sectors. Tim has always been active in his communities. As is a former board member and chair of the planning committee for the Centretown Community Citizens Association and has served on various volunteer boards within his communities. He spends much of his spare time learning about fairness and balance from his teenage daughter.

Alex Harris
As a Councillor's Assistant for Ward 9, Alex is primarily responsible for policy and legislative matters, and handles resident inquiries related to transit, traffic and transportation, as well as municipal infrastructure. Alex also supports the Councillor's work on the Transportation Committee and the Emergency Preparedness & Protective Services Committee. Alex may be a familiar face to some residents of Ward 9, as he was the Councillor’s deputy campaign manager during the 2022 municipal election. He knocked on thousands of doors during the campaign and as a result knows the community and its associations down to street-level details. Alex graduated Carleton in 2019 with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Graduated in 2020 with his Bachelor of Arts, Honors, in Law and Legal Studies. In his spare time, you can find Alex reading poli-sci literature or going on hikes, taking in the beautiful landscapes of the National Capital Region.
Megan Wood
As a Councillor's Assistant for Ward 9, Megan is primarily responsible for office management, communications, and community outreach, and handles resident inquiries related to forestry, climate change policy, as well as snow and garbage removal. Megan also supports the Councillor's work on the Environment & Climate Change Committee. Megan graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2021 with an honours major in Conflict Studies and Human Rights and is currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Economics part time. She joins our team with previous experience in the Office of the City Clerk, and with almost a decade of experience working at the City of Ottawa in a variety of roles. As an amateur artist, Megan can often be found painting, drawing, and exploring different artistic mediums in her free time or enjoying the outdoors. Megan is excited to get to know Ward 9 and meet with members from the community!
