Transportation Master Plan: Public Consultation (in-person)
The City of Ottawa is holding its Transportation Master Plan Public Consultations!
Ottawa has grown into a city of one million residents. Over the next 25 years, that number is expected to grow to more than 1.4 million. With that kind of growth, we need to revisit how people, vehicles and goods move through our city.
As we update the Transportation Master Plan, we have important decisions to make as individuals and as a city. This plan will determine the transit, road and active transportation projects that will be prioritized over the next few decades. These choices will impact how you move around the city. We need to have thoughtful discussions to ensure Ottawa’s transportation system allows us to become one of the most livable mid-sized cities in North America. Tell us what’s important to you and how our transportation system can move us in the right direction for decades to come.
Here are the details about the upcoming Public Consultation (in-person) for residents of Ward 9:
- WHEN: Thursday, April 17th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
- WHERE: Nepean Sportsplex, 1701 Woodroffe. The meeting will take place in Hall A, which is accessible through Entrance 3 at the rear side of the Sportsplex.
In-person sessions will have display boards showcasing project information, and members of the project team will be available to answer questions. There will also be virtual meetings, including an online session most useful for residents of Ward 9. Virtual sessions will also include a presentation followed by a question-and-answer period. The same information will be presented at all sessions, but discussions at each session may focus on projects specific to the local geographic area. The in-person meeting on April 17th is focused on Ottawa's south quadrant. Residents are welcome to attend any of the sessions, regardless of your place of residence. The City has also published a schedule of all in-person and virtual meetings.
